Koper

We know nothing about Koper prior to this trip so we were pleased to join a group of friends on a privately arranged tour of the area.

What a magnificent and unspoilt jewel of the Med this area is, dating back to medieval times, wandering around the streets and alleyways of the old town was a real pleasure.  It is very clean, the locals are very friendly and are happy to try and speak English, some very well.  There didn’t appear to be any other tourists in the area other than us, which after our recent ports was a real pleasure.

The cost of things was also in stark contrast to recent ports, a coffee for 1.2 euros, lunch for 2 with drinks for 10 euros  ($13 Au) ~ great value.

Overall, if anyone were touring this part of the Mediterranean, I would highly recommend this area for a visit.
