Corfu (Greece)


Well we had the best day ever; a small group of us hired a small boat (12metre cabin cruiser) for the day, popping into small villages and beaches on the north coast of Corfu.  The captain and his first mate (Maltos, who was about 15) were fantastic.  

We left Corfu Town behind as we headed across the bay, once across we dropped anchor and jumped into the Mediterranean for a cooling swim and a snorkel, then onto the small village of San Stefanos where we went for a walk through this small sleepy fishing village and had a cold frappe.  

Back to the boat and further along the coast to a small beach where we again dropped anchor, while we were all swimming our captain prepared our BBQ lunch on board, this consisted of fresh fish, chicken, tzatsiki, grilled feta cheese, fresh Greek salad, saganaki and crusty bread (Oh, by the way David is having a great time LOL), the beer, wine and Ouzo flowed all day. 

On the way back once again we anchored for yet another swim, and to take in the sights, some of which I could have done without!!!   Back to our ship just in time for sail-away.  Like I said, just a fantastic day.
