Athens

Due to the short notice we had about this visit to Athens we simply jumped on the Hop On Hop Off Bus and had a tour of the main sights of Athens.  Unfortunately because this was a Sunday the city was mostly closed, so we saw the sights from the bus with the knowledge that we will be re-visiting the city and doing a much more detailed tour in a few weks.

 We were lucky enough to be going past the Parliament Building just as the changing of the guard was getting underway.  With the crowds in front of the parade I guess we had one of the best views for it, shame the bus was moving so I couldn’t really think about the pictures I took.

The trip only lasted a few hours and we returned to the ship for a late lunch, swim and sunbath.
