Brisbane

The weather for our day in Brisbane was just like any other Melbourne winter day!  It started well and went downhill from there.

We had planned to meet up with friends living on the Gold Coast for lunch but sadly this was a last minute cancellation.  Not to be deterred we took the City Cat from the cruise terminal into the city.  The City Cat is a passenger boat capable of fast speed travel on the Brisbane River, what a great way to commute to and from work.  And cheap!  The cost of a coffee and cake in Brisbane was much more than the cat.  Melbourne could learn a lot from their public transport system.

On return to the port we were able to do some last minute shopping for personal supplies (including wine) and claim back any GST on recent purchases, Yeh!!

Six sea days ahead of us now before our next stop Lombok, in Indonesia.

By the way, you can see full size pictures by clicking on them!
